Hotel Cala Mirto

My son (15 years old) and I left London for a week in Sardinia on 8th August. We arrived to lovely warm weather and as I wanted to give my son more of a travel experience, we took the bus from Olbia airport to Tanuanella which I thought was closer to the hotel than it was ! We started walking with our lugguage and 2 mins later a lovely lady in her car asked us where we were going and insisted on driving us to the cala mirto. We had a friendly welcome and the staff were so welcoming and patient with my attemps at speaking as much Italian as I could ! The feel was very relaxed around the pool and the gardens around our room which felt very much like home after a night or two. I was a bit worried, how we were going to get around and how I was going to entertain my son ! But the front of house staff helped me hire a scooter and told us about the surrounding restaurants and the local bus time table which secured a wonderful trip. I would highly recommend this hotel for the relaxed personalised touch which really suited us. The simple clean pool area. The breakfasts which were so nice and the rural artisan countryside surrounding the wonderful beaches very close by.

Even if Hotel is almost empty, everything is organized trying to catch extra money from guests, always smiling. Example: they push to sell a ridiculus 10€/day parking, where you must be aware to avoid dropping. You need a car to reach beautiful places, through a complicate small street labirint. Surely you can find better hotel for the same price...
